Booking and planning
Do you run tours for large groups?
Yes. Liger Tours runs guided group tours of every size, from two travellers to groups of fifty or more. Tell us your numbers and we will build the route, the pace and the vehicles around them.
How do I book a tour?
Send the enquiry form or WhatsApp us with your dates, your group size and the places you want to see. You receive a full quotation in Namibian dollars, usually within one working day, and your dates are secured with the deposit set out in that quotation.
How much does a tour cost?
Every tour is quoted individually in Namibian dollars (N$) because price depends on your group size, the season and your accommodation choices. Send an enquiry and you will have a full quote, with nothing hidden, usually within one working day.
Can you build a custom route?
Yes, every week. Tell us what you want to see and how long you have, and we will build a route around it, even if it is shorter than the tours on this site.
On the road
Where do your tours start?
Every route starts and ends in Windhoek, the centre of the country and the arrival point for most flights. We confirm pick-up details with you before you travel.
What is included in the price?
Your quotation covers your local guide and driver, accommodation on the route booked for you, park and conservancy fees on the itinerary, and all route transport from Windhoek and back. International flights, travel insurance, personal spending and optional activities are not included.
What vehicles do you use?
We match the vehicle to your group size and your route, and every vehicle is maintained for Namibia's long gravel and sand roads. The exact setup for your trip is confirmed in your quotation before you pay anything.
What should I pack?
Layers matter most in Namibia: cold mornings on the dunes, hot middays on the road. Bring sun protection, closed walking shoes, a camera or binoculars, and any medication you need. Your quotation and pre-departure notes cover the details for your exact route and season.
Practical matters
When is the best time to visit Namibia?
May to October is high season, with cool mornings, clear skies and the best wildlife viewing in Etosha. It is also when the best lodges fill first, so enquire as early as you can.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical costs, evacuation and cancellation is required on all Liger Tours trips and must be arranged before departure. Namibia's lodges and parks apply strict cancellation terms, so insurance protects you as much as us.
Are you a registered tour operator?
Yes. Liger Tours Namibia is locally owned and registered with the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB), which holds us to professional standards at every step of your trip.
How do payments work?
A deposit secures your dates, with the balance due before departure as set out in your quotation. Everything is quoted and collected in Namibian dollars (N$). Banking details appear only on our official quotations and invoices; if anyone asks you to pay into a different account, call us on +264 81 472 2552 first.
Still deciding?
Tell us your dates. We will build the trip around them.
Send an enquiry and get a full quotation in N$, usually within one working day. No pressure, no obligation.
